ABOUT THE POSITION: ​The Human Capital Intern is responsible for assisting the Human Capital/Human Resources Team in the process of hiring and onboarding all entry-level employees company-wide. It is the responsibility of the Human Capital Intern to reach goals set forth by the Human Capital Team. Some examples of goals may include, but not be limited to: conducting the screening and hiring process for all roles set forth by the Director of Human Capital, meeting all necessary deadlines, and filling all entry-level openings. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting in employee recognition projects and fulfillment, organization of confidential files, platform management, email correspondence, and onboarding checklists. Note that this position requires a high level of competency, integrity, and confidentiality-- and to be successful in this role you must be able to work individually, and also collaboratively.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Impeccable organizational skills (you need to LOVE organizing);
  • Ability to communicate effectively with high-level individuals;
  • Knowledge of Google Drive (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.);
  • Must be a “Team Player” who thrives in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a wide range of responsibilities;
  • Passion for conservative ideas and principles;
  • Must maintain a strong work ethic and be goal-oriented;
  • Self-starter and self-motivated;
  • Our ideal applicant is punctual, very responsive, and great at time management;
  • High Integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and confidentiality.

"WOW!” SKILLS:

  • Interest in a career in Human Resources or Recruiting;
  • Previous involvement with Turning Point USA or another conservative non-profit;
  • Attended a previous TPUSA event.

All internships are located at TPUSA Headquarters in Phoenix, AZ. This is not a remote position. Interns are responsible for their accommodations for the entirety of the internship, as well as having a reliable mode of transportation and proof of insurance when applicable.
