JOB DESCRIPTION:

The FRONTLINES Multimedia Reporters (MMRs) play a pivotal role in making and breaking news nationwide. FRONTLINES content is known to go viral on social media and is frequently picked up by mainstream news outlets. Qualified candidates will shoot, produce, edit, and report content for FRONTLINES and TPUSA platforms.

You will stay abreast of national news and respond to breaking stories on short notice. You will also develop unique stories for enterprise pieces that appeal to a national audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pitch and create daily news content in alignment with the FRONTLINES brand for multiple platforms, including X, Instagram, YouTube, and Rumble;
  • Research, write, produce, edit, and report all original content;
  • Communicate with management regarding story development while working alongside in-house producers and editors to generate high-quality videos;
  • Travel often to cover breaking news at a moment’s notice nationwide;
  • Establish a strong network of sources and contacts to develop story leads and ongoing relationships;
  • Generally promoting FRONTLINES and TPUSA content and supporting your fellow reporters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-4 years of professional on-air field reporting experience as a general assignment reporter, reporting and/or editing news stories for digital media platforms;
  • Strong news judgment and grasp of national news topics;
  • Ability to complete required assignments on deadline;
  • Exceptional writing, research, and on-air presentation skills including knowledge of AP style;
  • Ability to work independently and unilaterally with minimum on-site support and supervision;
  • A team player who takes initiative and will work to grow the FRONTLINES brand with extremely high-quality work;
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends, often on short notice;
  • Must be willing to sign a one-year employment contract.
