Job Description: Turning Point USA’s Social Media team seeks a meticulous and detail-oriented Social Media Administrator to support the success of the TPUSA YouTube channel. The ideal candidate will excel in organizing content flow, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining a content calendar to facilitate timely and relevant postings. While prior experience in social media management is valued, we prioritize candidates with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth on YouTube.
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content for YouTube, including video uploads, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, and annotations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure social media content aligns with overall brand messaging and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain a content calendar for YouTube to ensure timely and relevant content is being posted
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest YouTube trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to optimize performance
  • Analyze video and channel data to evaluate content performance
  • Keep up with changing community guidelines on YouTube
  • Provide a weekly breakdown of the channel’s analytics, with a plan of action to improve
  • Ability to provide and receive feedback
  • Track and organize incoming content contributions from TPUSA contributors
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring timely completion and deployment of various projects, including footage and documentaries
  • Assist in selecting and enhancing production and event content, focusing on high-performing segments
  • Source assets for videos and thumbnails as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and management, an emphasis on YouTube (2+ years of experience preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in communication and collaboration with team members
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of video editing, through the use of Adobe Premiere
  • Strong understanding of high performing content vs. low performing content
  • Positive attitude and an extremely strong work ethic
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver
  • Passion for conservative ideas and principles and interest in promoting them
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
